The Royal Moscow Ballet is performing Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Sleeping Beauty, the enchanting story of Princess Aurora, better known as Sleeping Beauty. This fairytale ballet is characterized by elegant choreography and beautiful arrangements by Marius Petipa and Anatoly Emelianov.

Anatoly Emelianov, who is also the leading soloist of the show, is an award-winning choreographer and has been praised for his contribution to Russian culture.

The Story

Everyone in the glorious kingdom is invited to the christening of Princess Aurora, except the evil fairy Carabosse. She is very angry and puts a curse on Aurora. On her 16th birthday, she will pinch herself on a spinning wheel and die. The good fairy Lilac Fairy manages to break the curse. Aurora will not die, but fall asleep for 100 years. She can only be awakened by the kiss of a handsome prince...
