Music journalist and editor-in-chief Jean-Paul Heck, singer Marijn Geluk and guitarist Jeroen Lips have jointly, with the help of good friend and colleague Leo Blokhuis, created Queen: The Story. Heck interviewed the original musicians of Queen several times. He visited drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May at home for instance. In 2011, he personally invited the legendary Queen guitarist to the Netherlands to present him with the Sena Performers European Guitar Award. Apart from the legendary music, the show is packed with inside stories about his meetings with the Queen members. It represents only one aspect of this true musical extravaganza in which Crazy Little Things closely represents the sound of Queen, yet is playing the songs in their own way.
The band only wants one thing and that is to bring the legendary live shows and vintage Queen sound to life in the theater. 'We will bring to life both the hard rock vibe and the subtlety of Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Queen: The Story is a theater show created with the deepest respect for arguably the best band ever in pop and rock history,' says Heck.
