Romeo & Juliet

The Royal Moscow Ballet
27 Mar

The Royal Moscow Ballet is performing Sergei Prokofiev’s version of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. The traditional story of a passionate love.

Romeo, member of the Montague family, secretly falls in love with Juliet, a member of the Capulet family. Both families are sworn enemies caused by a vendetta of the past. The love between Romeo and Juliet could lead to the reconciliation between the two rivals. However, due to a fatal coincidence, the impossible love affair will end very badly for both lovers.

Leonid Lavrovsky was responsible for the original choreography, adapted for an arrangement of Anatoly Emelianov. This award-winning choreographer – and first soloist – has created the almost perfect mix of dramatic music, a tragic story and magnificent dancing.

A show, every ballet lover dreams of visiting.
