2 Processing of personal data
Depending on the type of product and/or service, we determine what kind of personal data we need to process. For example: first and last name, postal address, age, gender, phone number, email address, purchase details, payment details, visitor reviews and cookie settings (you can find more information about cookies in our cookie statement below).
Theater De Schalm is responsible for correct processing of your data. We only save and use the personal data, which you have submitted directly to us or of which it was clear upon registration that you have submitted it to us, according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, since 25 May 2018).
2.1 Registration
You will automatically be registered, if you book (entry) tickets via our website. After registration, we save the data and order submitted by you and inform you thereof via email (your booking confirmation). We will save the data in our ticketing system (Ticketmatic), so you only have to enter your email address when placing another order.
3. Use of personal data
3.1 Ticket sales
When you order (entry) tickets at Theater De Schalm, you need to enter some personal data in order to complete the order process. We adhere to the requirements laid down in the Personal Data Protection Act (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR in short).
3.2 Postal address
We only use your address if a show is cancelled, if we have to send the (entry) tickets by post (provided you have selected this option) and to send you the annual brochure.
3.4 Phone number
Your phone number will never be used for commercial purposes. We will only use your phone number if a show is cancelled at the last minute or in case we have any questions regarding a reservation or payment.
3.5 Email address
Theater De Schalm regularly sends out newsletters to inform our visitors about our future shows. We use the web and marketing platform Peppered, which is specialized in cultural organizations, to send the newsletters. Every newsletter contains a link (at the bottom), which you can use to remove yourself from our mailing list.
In addition, Theater De Schalm sends a service mail prior to and after a purchased show. The email prior to the show contains practical information about the show (for example, start and end time and information regarding parking). In the email after the show, we ask our visitors to leave a (brief) review by means of a link to a Google Form, which is managed by Theater De Schalm. You can leave a review entirely without any obligation. It is also possible to leave a unanimous review.
4 Disclosure to third parties
We shall never disclose the data submitted by you to any third party, unless necessary or required by law. In case of a suspected fraud or any misuse of our ticketing system, we might have to hand over any personal data to the competent authorities.
5 Change or removal of your data
1. Log in to your account on www.deschalm.com by clicking on the ‘login’ button in the upper right corner.
2. Then click on your name in the upper right corner to view your personal data.
- Change your data as needed and confirm by clicking the ‘change data’ button at the bottom of the page.

6. Cookies
Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer, tablet or mobile phone by a website to save information regarding your visit to that website. The cookies are e.g. used to recognize you upon a next visit, so you do not have to login again every time you visit that website.

9 Photography
Everyone who is visiting Theater De Schalm may have his or her picture taken. These pictures may be used in reports about our events and may be published on our website or social media channels. Please contact marcom@deschalm.nl, if you want a certain picture of you to be removed from our website or social media channels. We will make sure the relevant picture is removed.
