Walt Wilkins is a Texas singer-songwriter with a big heart, an even bigger voice and a reputation that, despite his modesty, reaches far beyond Texas.

With songs of his own covered by such colleagues as Ricky Skaggs and Kenny Rogers and an encyclopedic knowledge of American song culture, he is an in-demand musician. In Texas, he has his own festival: Waltstock & Barrel. He considers Holland his second home country, since he first played here in 2008, then together with Sam Baker.

Also a faithful companion and skilled accompanist on guitar from the beginning is Bill Small, who also writes beautiful songs himself. Bill has been playing in bands since he was a teenager in New Jersey and has been living in Texas for about 15 years, in the artist town of Wimberley, where he devotes himself full-time to music and coaching.

Bart de Win, who teaches at the conservatories of Rotterdam and Utrecht during the week, you may know him from his own band Tip Jar, or from Matthews Southern Comfort, the band around Englishman Iain Matthews. It is also quite possible that you have seen Bart perform with Birds of Chicago, Kevin Welch, Richard Lindgren or Sam Baker, among others.

But above all, Walt, Bill and Bart have been working together intensively for 12 years, both on stage and in the studio. The three musicians form a close and perfectly attuned team.
