Discover the exciting fairy tale behind the wooden racer roller coaster Joris en de Draak. The group of actors “Troupe Efteling” tells the story of a desperate king who has been trying for years to get rid of the dragon that terrorizes his kingdom. To satisfy the dragon, he regularly gives him a sheep, but now ... the sheep have run out. But the dragon is implacable. No sheep? Fine. Then children.

The king reasons that he still needs the boys to fight in his army, so he decides to occasionally feed the dragon a girl under 16. And he lets fate decide. All the names go into a top hat and a name is drawn from that. Meanwhile, the king promises a sum of money for the one who defeats dragon. Several men try, but the dragon laughs at them all. Week after week, a girl is brought to the dragon. And then the name of Princess Rosalie, the king's daughter, is drawn. Then Joris decides to take action. He is hopelessly in love with the princess and decides it is his job to defeat the dragon. Will Joris succeed and will he free the princess from the dragon's clutches?
