Their beautiful singing together combined with quiet instrumentation of mainly banjo, mandolin and guitar gives a harmonious and surprising outcome: intense and layered songs that are nevertheless easy to listen to. Not for nothing did the duo become “Artist Of The Year” at the International Folk Music Awards and can count Mary Gauthier among their biggest fans. With their penultimate album Honest (2019), which was seen internationally as one of the best americana albums of the year, the duo definitely established themselves in the international americana world. Listen to prize track “Harriet,” for example, and you'll understand why. 

Last year they released the self-titled Ordinary Elephant with again beautiful songs they recorded with producer Dirk Powell. During the recording process, a documentary was made about them called “Across The Quiet” which recently premiered at the Bayou Film Festival where they won the award for: “Best Louisiana Film”.
