The name, Trio BRO, stands for the band members van Bommel, Roelofs , Oostindie, known names in the circuit, Sjoerd van Bommel oa of Kroonenberg, Mrs. Hips, The Watchman, Bots, BJ Baartmans Wild Verband and many other acts And Roelofs and Oostindie oa of Cargo Mas

Originally the intention of this new Hammond trio was to make an album with instrumental jazz compositions in the loose style of Medeski Martin and Wood but it soon became clear that besides instrumental pieces the desire to sing was also strongly present and because Roelofs and Van Bommel already had a duo with swampy grooves and gospel-inspired songs with New Orleans-feel with vocals by both gentlemen, an expansion with the warm voice and beautiful songs of Bart Oostindie was a logical consequence.

Besides their own songs, the gentlemen also play covers by Marc Cohn, Keb'Mo and Harry Connick Jr. among others with an underlying thought :there is no escaping the deep grooves of the threesome.
