Let yourself be carried away by the music and the life of the woman with the most beautiful voice of the 1970s.

Judith Koch & Band will perform a selection of well-known hits and lesser-known gems by the Carpenters, whilst Judith shares lovely anecdotes about Karen and Richard Carpenter.

Karen Carpenter, famous for her beautiful, warm voice, formed the duo The Carpenters with her brother Richard in the 1970s. Songs such as ‘Close to You’, ‘We’ve Only Just Begun’ and ‘Top of the World’ brought them enormous success. But this success had a dark side. Over 43 years ago, at the age of just 32, Karen lost her life to the effects of anorexia. This season, Judith Koch, now 43 herself, accompanied by talented musicians, brings the beautiful melodies of the Carpenters to life, and it’s just like ‘Yesterday Once More’. When Judith sings and you close your eyes, you can hear Karen Carpenter.

Judith also tells Karen’s story. A story that remains relevant today. For how can you truly be yourself under the pressure of expectations from your family, your fans, the press and (these days) social media? It promises to be an intimate and atmospheric evening filled with songs to listen to and special stories.
