In Silent Gestures, Another Kind of Blue presents an innovative programme in which dance, technology and poetry merge to create a sensory experience. Well-known audience favourites return in a fresh new guise, complemented by brand-new creations that re-examine the boundary between the digital and the physical. 

The show opens with HandsOn, a compelling piece presented in various adaptations, including a special collaboration with choreographer Daniel Barkan. Arms also makes an appearance: a mesmerising duet between dancers and drones. A technological tour de force that takes to the skies, both literally and figuratively. At some theatres, an extra dimension is added with a live VR experience, in which the boundary between stage and digital universe completely blurs. In addition, audience favourites such as Flyland, known from America’s Got Talent, and the surprising new work The Search, featuring an electric unicycle in the lead role, will also be on show.

With Silent Gestures, choreographer David Middendorp continues to connect dance and technology in a way that moves, surprises and amazes.
