Dodger decides to confront his past and retell Oliver’s story, in his own way. He takes today’s street urchins under his wing and turns their lives into a real musical. With humour, verve and a generous dose of bravado, he shows that there is always hope, even if you end up on the streets. Fagin, Nancy, Bill Sykes, Mr Bumble – all the unforgettable characters make an appearance. With a contemporary twist and a fresh new look!

The Nationaal Jeugd Musical Theater (NJMT) forms an indispensable foundation for this. As the leading breeding ground for young talent in the Netherlands, the NJMT offers children and young people aged 6 to 18 high-quality training in singing, dancing and acting. As well as lessons in drama, audition training and ballet, amongst other things, they are given the unique opportunity to put their talents into practice during a national theatre tour. This production is a splendid example of this: young talent that develops, grows and manages to move the audience with complete conviction.
