From September 2026, Theater Terra will be presenting the new family show Pippi en de Piraten, an adventurous musical full of humour, fantasy and spectacular moments. When Pippi Langkous receives a message in a bottle from her father, kapitein Efraïm Langkous, she discovers that he is being held captive by the notorious pirates Bloed Barend en Messen Jochem. They hope he will lead them to a hidden treasure. For Pippi, there is only one solution: to rescue her father.

Together with her best friends Tommie and Annika, Pippi sets off on a journey full of unexpected twists and turns. Armed with an air mattress, a homemade aeroplane and a good dose of pluck, they set off across seas and islands in search of the mysterious pirate island of Taka Tuka. Along the way, they have the craziest adventures, meet pirates and keep coming up with new plans to outwit their enemies.

When Pippi finally reaches the pirates’ stronghold, a thrilling game of cat and mouse begins. With her enormous strength, clever tricks and indomitable optimism, she manages to defeat even the most dangerous pirates. But will she also manage to free her father and return home safely with Tommie and Annika?

Pippi en de Piraten is an imaginative family show for everyone aged 6 and over, full of music, humour and adventure, based on the much-loved stories by Astrid Lindgren. In Theater Terra’s signature style, puppetry, music and spectacular set design come together in a cheerful theatrical adventure for the whole family.
