Verder is deze stoere dame ook de oprichtster en directrice van het Rock & Roll camp voor Girls en staat ook tijdens haar tours erom bekend zich graag te omringen met andere vrouwelijke muzikanten. Op het nieuwste album van Carter Sampson Gold legt ze de lat nog een stuk hoger met werkelijk magnifieke songs met formidabele muzikale begeleiding. Een echte aanrader voor liefhebbers van Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Brandi Carlisle en The Highwomen. Dat bewees ze ook al afgelopen jaar toen ze te zien was op Blue Highways festival en daar een verpletterende indruk achter liet. In het voorjaar van 2025 zal Carter tevens een mooi nieuw album uitbrengen dat live is opgenomen in de legendarische singer-songwriter club The Blue Door in haar thuisstaat Oklahoma.
