Nigel Otermans

In his show De Tijdreiziger, Nigel Otermans and his Wonder Girls take the audience on an enchanting journey through time with more than twenty spectacular illusions! Nigel is given a mysterious chest which turns out to be a time machine. He travels back and forward in time. To places including the Middle Ages, when magic was strictly forbidden; to the 1950s, when variety shows were at their peak; and to the future, to discover how magic will be performed then. Will Nigel manage to return to our time afterwards? 

Biography: 

At the age of eleven, Maastricht-born Nigel Otermans (2001) became captivated by magic. From then on, not a day went by without him performing an illusion. In 2019, he became Dutch Youth Champion in Stage Magic and, in 2022, Dutch Champion in Illusionism at the Dutch Magic Union’s Magic Competition for adults. Judge Hans Klok: ‘At the moment, Nigel is the greatest talent in his category’. He was invited to appear on television programmes including HLF8, BEAU and Game of Talents. From 2021 to 2023, he performed illusion shows at the Valkenburg Open-Air Theatre, which were enthusiastically received by the press and the public. In December 2023, Nigel and his team performed four shows almost daily at the CoIiseum in Lisbon, where he was part of the Christmas Circus. In 2024, 2025 and 2026, he will be touring with *De Tijdreiziger*.
